In the space between our houses… is a celebration of the quiet signs of resistance and attempts to break free of development and commercialisation—these sometimes subconscious, small acts of defiance that we encounter in cities every day. Paul Langmead’s pictures are a street level view of the zeitgeist of two of the world’s ‘most liveable’ cities from a single vantage point.

Postcard Salon 2019
Jarvis Dooney Galerie

Jarvis Dooney Galerie's novel exhibition concept aims to support both small galleries as well as artists via its yearly postcard salons. Each artists contributes an image to be printed on a postcard, and the postcards are used to create an installation in the gallery for the duration of the show.

This series of images was made in Berlin between 2011 and 2018, which has been a period of great change for most ordinary Berliners. During this time there have been many winners and losers in the city's push to become the most important city in Europe. With these images I hope to explore how the people of Berlin express and deal with these changes by affecting their surrounding built environment.
